One of H&T Presspart’s employees is currently undertaking a cycling challenge to cover over 1000 miles in just 10 consecutive days to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.

The ride is in memory of his wife Rachel’s lovely Mum, Gwyneth, who passed away on 26th June 2018.  Gwyneth had lived with Parkinson’s disease for over 12 years and on the year anniversary of her passing Gary is honouring her memory in the best way he knows how: cycling!

There will be a minimum of 50,000 feet of climbing over the 10 days of this challenge which is more elevation than Lands’ End to John ‘O’ Groats! Gary started his ride on the 21st June and will end on the 30th June which means he is currently half way there!

On the last day, his wife Rachel will also be joining him, as will his cycling friends and colleagues from H&T Presspart Blackburn.  So far there are over 30 riders wanting to join him on the last 100 miles which is fantastic.

All monies raised will go towards local Parkinson’s UK support groups to help people living with the condition. If you would like some more information then please visit the Parkinson’s UK website or Gary’s JustGiving page.

H&T Presspart are extremely proud and wish Gary all the best of luck in the rest of his ride and all employees finishing his journey with him on the 30th June.
