H&T Presspart, the market leader in the manufacture of respiratory drug delivery components and devices, will participate in the GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) sponsored 2018 Active and Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA) World Congress Challenge, which is being held on the 19th November in Amsterdam.

The challenge will see H&T Presspart ‘pitch’ their connected device technology, , using H&T Presspart’s eMDI as an example, , in just four minutes to a judging panel. The pitch must incorporate active and intelligent packaging formats and technologies that can be applied within GSK’s portfolio of consumer and pharmaceutical brands.

Our team will present our smart connected technology for inhalers and how these can be integrated in to GSK’s portfolio of respiratory drug delivery inhalers and devices including dry powder inhalers and metered-dose inhalers.

GSK is looking for technologies that can for example foster:

  • Authenticity of the medication
  • Comprehension of and easy access to use instructions
  • Live tracking of dosing accuracy and compliance
  • Live monitoring of health condition
  • Personalization
  • Telemedicine

H&T Presspart has offerings within its connected devices portfolio to satisfy the needs and criteria of GSK.

GSK will follow up directly with individual companies to further explore concepts that they would like to pursue as an outcome of the challenge, and as the organisers say ‘”if you cannot explain it in 4 minutes, it is probably not a good idea”’
