H&T Presspart has always prided itself on in-house tool design and tool making capabilities. State-of-the-art precision tool shops are fundamental in maintaining our competitive edge in advanced tool design. Employing all this ‘know-how’ under our own roof also ensures that experience and intellectual property are kept in-house and can develop and evolve with our business.
Our in-house tooling process ensures products are consistently produced according to strict specifications, tool wear is minimised and tool breakage is eliminated.
Any H&T Presspart production process starts with the design and manufacture of precision tooling. H&T Presspart uses state-of-the-art 3D CAD software for tool design. This enables the design to be ‘tested’ in a virtual sense before expensive tool manufacture begins. A single tool may comprise of more than 120 separate components including punches, dies, strippers, ejectors, transfer fingers, springs, strip guides and beading attachments.
The tool support department within H&T Presspart ensures all tools are continually maintained to the highest standards. It also provides the opportunity for minor repairs to be carried out immediately, thereby reducing downtime.
