Presspart Support Asthma UK at Local Village Fete
Presspart, the world’s leading supplier of metered-dose inhaler components for the pharmaceutical market, recently sponsored a charity Fete between 2 local villages near its Blackburn manufacturing site, helping raise over £3000 in the process.
The Read & Simonstone village fete took place recently on the 7th June and despite adverse weather the conditions didn’t dampen the event with locals from both villages turning out to support the event. The Fete itself raised £3500, with Presspart providing £1500 of the overall total, of which both Asthma UK and Macmillan will receive £1750.
Mrs Morag Gee, the event organiser, commented “It was a brilliant day despite the weather and the amount raised was just fantastic. Unfortunately a few stalls had to cancel because of the rain but overall there were some great attractions.” Those attractions included a vintage bus and a classic punch & Judy show.
Presspart Business Development Director Richard Turner was delighted with following the success of the event and Presspart’s contribution to the local community. He stated “Presspart are always looking to be involved in community projects such as this, being a company proud to be based in Lancashire. The event itself supported a charity very close to our hearts as Asthma UK is a charity we feel very strongly for. Given our position as leading manufacturers of MDI components there was no way we could turn down an opportunity to support an event of this nature”.
Presspart would like to thank all those who helped contribute to the final total and hope more events in the future will be as successful.
