Presspart Blackburn appoint Paul Gregson as Continuous Improvement Process Manager
As part of the H&T Excellence initiative, which aims to implement lean management systems and continuous improvement (CIP) within the group, Presspart are pleased to announce that Paul Gregson has been appointed CIP Manager for the Presspart Blackburn manufacturing site.
Over the coming months all of H&T Group companies will appoint a CIP-manager, who will become a member of the local management team.
As CIP manager for Presspart Blackburn, Paul’s main responsibilities will be to drive and implement the H&T Excellence Initiative at the respective and strengthen the corporate culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Paul will also examine operational and administrative processes at the site, effectively implement H&T Excellence principles and ensure correct use of H&T Excellence standards as well as identify, coordinate and facilitate improvement activities. Paul will be responsible to ensure that employees will receive training in CIP and Lean Management principles. In fact 19 of the 141 staff at Blackburn have already undergone their lean management training.
Paul brings a vast wealth of knowledge to the role having worked at Presspart for over 30 years. In that time he has served his five year apprenticeship, then worked for over 10 years as a tool maker before becoming an apprentice training leader.
Paul will report operationally to the Managing Director of Presspart Blackburn and functionally to the H&T Global CIP Director/ Coordinator, Graham Clark, who is also Head of the H&T Excellence Team.
