Presspart is committed to developing strategies for sustainability which not only benefit the environment but also provides social and economic advantages.
Our environmental management focus’s on controlling emissions and wastes from operations through treatment and disposal systems. The following examples demonstrate how this has been incorporated within the organisation:
- Installation of a fully automated multi clean system at the Presspart Blackburn site which significantly reduces energy consumption compared to traditional systems and, as a result of it being a completely sealed system, keeps solvent emission values at virtually zero.
- Investment in a biofilter system at the Presspart Marsberg site enables post processing waste to be disposed of utilising natural microorganisms, significantly exceeding all EU environmental regulations.
In addition, recycling unavoidable waste, reducing the amount of raw material used and continually assessing methods of reducing energy consumption across the business demonstrates our commitment to sustainability and investment in the future.
